About Pomodoro Timer
If your workday is a trail of half-finished tasks and endlessly checked tabs, the problem usually isn't willpower, it's structure. The Pomodoro Technique gives your brain a deal it can accept: total focus for just 25 minutes, then a guilt-free break. Knowing the end of a session is always in sight makes it easier to resist distractions, and the enforced breaks stop the slow fade in quality that sets in during hour three of unbroken work.
This timer runs the classic rhythm out of the box, 25 minutes of focus, 5 minutes of rest, and a 15-minute break after every fourth session, with start, pause, and reset controls plus a session counter that tallies your completed rounds. The countdown lives in the browser tab title too, so you can see time remaining without switching back to the page, and a chime marks the end of each block. If the classic cadence doesn't fit your work, set any custom length from 1 to 180 minutes instead.
Use it for more than solo study sessions: pair one Pomodoro block with a single clearly defined task and you'll be surprised how often it finishes. Guard the breaks honestly, scrolling news sites for five minutes is not recovery; stand up, get water, look out a window. And if you keep hitting pause mid-session, that pattern is telling you something real about your task size: break the work down smaller rather than stretching the session longer.

Tips for best results
- Pair each 25-minute block with one named task written down before you start, the specificity is what makes the timer work.
- Take breaks away from the screen; five minutes of scrolling is not recovery.
- If a task won't fit in one session, split it before you start rather than extending the timer mid-way.
- After four focus sessions, take the full 15-minute break even if you feel fresh, fatigue compounds silently.
- Keep the tab's sound on: the end-of-session chime marks your break's end too, not just the focus block.
